Why Tech4Good?

Recent technology innovation gave unprecedented opportunities to shape a better world and solve social, economic and environmental challenges.

The need to improve access to education, health care, and transportation or tackle gender inequalities and environmental issues is now urgent. In 2015, The UN created 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) to transform our world.

Both French and South Korean governments understood the importance of supporting organizations that use technology to create a positive impact. Through this week, we provide the opportunity to exchange and find synergies between our startup ecosystems.

A full-day of discussion around the topic Tech4Good was organized in DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) as a side-event of ComeUp K-Startup Week 2019.

With Keynotes speakers like Alexandre Lebrun, CEO of Nabla or Paul Duan, CEO of Bayes Impact, participants discussed various topics as “How Artificial Intelligence will Revolutionize Healthcare?” or “How to harness the power of algorithms to address unemployment?”.

Different panels including French and Korean key players in Impact & Tech4Good ecosystems got together to confront ideas about the use of AI for more Impact and the importance of Collaboration.

French startups and Korean startups had the chance to pitch and showcase their innovation during the day.

In partnership with Root Impact, a non-profit association dedicated to foster and encourage changemakers in Korea, we organized a networking event to gather French and Korean Tech4Good ecosystem. Taking place at Heyground, co-working space powered by Root Impact, this event was a great time to discuss more informally and make more opportunities for collaboration between the two countries and ecosystems.
